As part of investment in scientific research infrastructure, the Ministry of Education and NASRI are supporting the development of a modern laboratory to study the effect of thermal treatments on the physical, mechanical and technological properties of wood and wood-based materials.

“Impact of thermal modification methods on the technological properties of wood and wood-based materials”

Beneficiary institution: Agricultural University of Tirana.

Objectives

The project aims to evaluate advanced thermal modification methods, focusing on improving quality and durability and widening the use of wood materials, while promoting more sustainable processes with reduced environmental impact.

The research results will contribute to optimising wood processing technologies, improving material performance and strengthening scientific cooperation with national and international research structures.
