The READ International Scientific Conference brought together researchers from Albania and from the academic diaspora. In her address, Minister of Education Mirela Kumbaro announced preparations for signing the Cooperation Agreement for the 2026–2030 period.

READ programme results

According to figures presented at the conference, over four years the READ programme has delivered:

  • 121 research projects funded;
  • 122 fellows involved;
  • 69 university curricula improved;
  • over 1,200 hours of teaching and training;
  • 667 conference participants, of whom 214 from the diaspora and 453 from Albania.

READ is delivered in cooperation between the Ministry of Education, the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF) and the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation.
